Jakarta A~Z(part #3)

K; Karedok. Karedok is a simple salad with raw vegetables as main ingredients with nut sauce and fried red onion as topping. It taste a lil bit spicy, but mixed with sweet sauce and do never left the crackers for topping. It’s not a salad for main course, it usually as side dish with nasi uduk (coconut rice). You never come to Jakarta, when you haven’t try karedok.

L; Lindeteves. Wow, once I hear it, the name’s was so internasional. Nope, it actually the place at Kota/ Hayam Wuruk area which well known with its LTC (Lindeteves Trade Center) who has specific sell industrial machines from local – international, low up to premium price segment. LTC also well known as the center of (like origin) DVD 😀 it only less that a quarter price compare with real DVD.

M; Mangga Dua. Please don’t bring your mom here, Mangga Dua is the center, even the biggest fashion (like origin) brands which focusing on bags, shoes, all women fashion. I guarantee you will amaze with its price of LV, Guess, even Hermes which less than $100. The quality? don’t ask it. Only person who know the brands who will recognize it, its 1:1 to the real one.

N; National Monument. It usually called Monas (Monumen Nasional) the symbol of Indonesia, it build by first Presiden Soekarno (my fav) who represent Jakarta as capital city of Indonesia. You can goes up and see Jakarta from the top of Monas, and as you can see – there a gold flame to represent the wealth of Indonesia.

 

Jakarta A~Z (part #2)

F; Fair, Jakarta. aka. Pekan Raya Jakarta (in bahasa), this is an annual event by government which held in June-full month took place at Kemayoran. This event elaborate all industrial business, from small-medium up to big scale industry.

G; Glodok. This is a big market place, located in north of Jakarta. You can find all of electronic, technical stuff up to pirates DVD’s. You must bargain up to 50% from the offering price. This is one stop shopping area for electronic, & industrial both Indonesia and china products.

H; Hotel Indonesia. This hotel located in the center of city, where we can found welcome statue as Jakarta iconic symbol. It usually called (bunderan HI) as zero kilometer of Jakarta.

I; Ir. Soekarno. He is first President who has big idea with nefo (new emerging forces) that focus to new independence country become autonomous and strong with its own feet. His ideas focus and start at Jakarta as capital city with build international stadium, iconic monas, also he has special forces, and send many best students to international studies-those are small cases to prepare strong foundation for Indonesia as autonomous and competitive country.

J; Java Jazz. This is annual international jazz event that always held in first week of March. Many artists from local also international eager and proud to perform here. This is became one of 5 biggest International jazz event that must be seen.

Jakarta A~Z (part #1)

Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia; the busiest and 24hours active city in Indonesia. Thanks God, I’ve been live there, witness the hype city of Indonesia, bad-ass traffic jam, spend hours in car, fastest growth city in Indonesia, feeling in love, unlock the better me, and many things to describe; soon, very soon I’ll return there back.

I will try to randomly post Jakarta A~Z into five parts.

A; Abang. it usually to call a man in Jakarta (mister in English) but usually for blue collar, and mid old man. for older one, you should call ’em with Bapak.

B; Bajaj. This is a 3 wheels public transportation, that only took you outside protocol road-usually at traditional market area. with no legal road meter, you must be smart enough to bargain it.

C; Combro. Its a traditional food from Jakarta, it made from potato wedges with spicy melting herb inside, fried and crisp outside. You can find it in traditional market less than a buck for 5 pieces.

D; Djayakarta. This is the old town of Jakarta, you can find the ancient of Jakarta here, it located at the north of Jakarta. Most of Djayakarta dominate by netherland theme, not only the building, but also the road still using blocks.

E; Electronic. This new future feature will start from Jakarta e.g. eMoney, eCommerce, eBanking, etc. also, all of electronic stuff will first launch in Jakarta as the benchmark to other cities. When it success – it will bring positive vibe to other cities in Indonesia.

kalibiru-sky under your feet

I’m proud to be Indonesian, my country’s beautiful nature landscape internationally was well known as Bali island aka. God island, but we literally has our predicate as “ratna mutu manikam” (in bahasa) means the jewel’s sequence. Why? because start from Sabang (west border) up to Merauke (east border) intertwined with beautiful scenery.

My last visit to Kalibiru, this is one of unpopular spot which located at Kulonprogo regency, 2 hours drive from Yogyakarta – but, this breathtaking view is should to see, imho. Unfortunately there’s no public transportation to got there, you must bring your own car, at the first stop you will be warn because of 60* degrees uplift with up to 3 kilometers to go up there. Second stop, you must park your vehicle and continue with walk around 400 meters (extra 60* degrees). Last stop, you must give entrance retribution $1/ person. Then, you will see natural forest under your feet like green carpet, even you can see the haze under your feet. its worth it!

Still want something cool? there’re 5 spot at the top of the tree you can climb in. They’re pro! they rent a harness (body safety rope) for free. You will see a breathtaking view from the top of the tree, and viola! the sky under your feet.

from hobby to penny

Who doesn’t love pets? their cuteness never failed to attract also enliven the house. There’re many kinds of it e.g fish, dog, cat, bird, etc. and there’re many subjective reason “why” people taking care of it. I am one of pet lover when entered elementary school, I have many kind of pet from common pet like dog, fish, bird; until uncommon pet like lizard. From many kind of pets, fish is my favorite one; nowadays I have a fish tank with colorful discus which live in aquascape tank (aquascape: is art of planting water trees within fish tank). it makes your living room more natural and one of my fav spot for stress release after had a terrible traffic jam. (in road-seems like want to throw putrid egg to the motorist) -> skip this words, I borrow it from peonytale 🙂

This fish tank, only as a hobby even it tooks my account into bottom line. end story.

In last couple months, when I went to field especially at birds market. Suddenly, it throwback my memories when I was young as a bird (pigeon) breeder. It can support my entertainment expense at least, lol. My eyes  was attracted by this kind of bird: LOVEBIRD (it call lovebird, because when it meet his pair attract from first sight, down to heart, and they’re in love – so sorry it too melodramatic), lol. Seriously, when met his/her pair they become a couple, and they will fly everywhere together, feed each other (I saw it as a bird kissing, envy with it)

I decided to bought many couples, set up a new big cage 1.5 x 1 x 2m height, with some bird house and some grass to be as natural as their real environment, and read some article. I want to breed it, to breed a birds not only need those kind of thing, but also supported quite environment, not too loud, also your time to taking care of it properly. Learning from my previous succeed on bird breeding, nowadays I will continue and focus with lovebird breeding. In couple months I will tell you my success story of it, because some couples has hatch its eggs and soon their babies born, ready to sell 🙂

 

hidden paradise-dive bunaken

Bunaken, located in Manado. Who doesn’t know this beautiful-heaven on earth, especially its under water. Bunaken, stated as 1 of 5 best dive spot in the world with thousands kind of flora and fauna, and coral with tremendous-sparkling like jewels carpet.

There’s other islands which unfamiliar compare with Bunaken, at this post I will share 2 beautiful and untap island: Lembeh & Lihaga island. This two island located 2 hours drive from Manado, continued with 1.5 hours using boat. The different was Lembeh located in north, while Lihaga at south of Manado. Plus, Lembeh has its very rare beautiful small creatures biota, unlike Lihaga that we can only found white-pinkish sand over there, but the water looks like a crystal, yeah! you can see the bottom with no filter and many clown fish playing around your feet. Need to prepare your accommodation properly, because there’s no food seller there, and the boat only twice a day. or, there will be a castaway season.2 if you left by the boat 🙂

 

untap spot

in last 2 months, I’ve moved to Solo. it boost well known with its many famous people in this country, name it: “Soeharto” (the smiling general) with his 32years dominance as President in Indonesia, also the talk of town “Jokowi” who succeed to held international annual event in Solo e.g Solo city jazz, Solo batik carnival, etc. Forget it, in this post I would like to encourage you guys to explore untap spot in city you visit in. I’ve visited so many cities in Indonesia, and of course I’ve explore untap spot (will upload soon). Here, in last 2 months which some people-even in this city hasn’t visited it yet.

left side: Soeharto mansion aka. ndalem kalitan, where Soeharto spend his time in Solo, located in downtown with almost 100 are square!! tons of precious items from many countries in the world, its worth it and you must accompany with (abdi ndalem) buddy, because lot of fragile item and quite spooky. hehehee

right side: Ramayana ballet, it’s an art and great Ramayana performance beside the mystical Prambanan temple (located at Klaten). Its worth it to see, with very talented artists who play that drama well. You must check the schedule, it has some dates that prohibited to show.

In last few weeks, I found a new but old (should to be) my interest: toys photography! yes, it start with my photography interest in, but it specific for toys. Have you heard before?

I’ve collected many toys, In recent weeks I’ve found a new way to release my pain with a new hobbies: RC (remote control), start with speed offroad, rock crawler, with the hard one: DRONE, but it not just ended by wasting your money on this toys. I try to combine my unusual point of view to it. I snap this toys to be real, bring it to the next level – not only toys but could be a realistic objects.

Tips: propagandis title, using macro, increase the blur level, and combine it with additional property.

Sejak mulai dari SD kita diperkenalkan untuk mempelajari Bahasa Indonesia dengan baik dan benar, mulai dari pelafalan-ejaan-hingga penulisan.

Ketika lagi cari2 di Toko Keramik yang pernah mendapat penghargaan dari MURI “Toko keramik terbesar dan terlengkap di Indonesia”walhasil aku menemukan promo yang menurutku menarik [lihat gambar]
Maunya menulis “reject” yang munkin diserap ke Bahasa Indonesia jadinya ditulis “rijek”. Bener gak sih?
Anyway, pakailah Bahasa Indonesia dengan baik dan benar.
